While you're learning all these new things, don't forget the process is meant to be enjoyed! In college, you'll have more good times than bad. There are great experiences you can look forward to. We went back through our college memories and made a list:
Cheering at a football game Playing in a football game Studying all night while laughing with your friends Getting a super grade on a major biology lab experiment or creative writing assignment Group discussions--you can't believe anybody actually said that about Moby Dick Going out to lunch with a favorite professor Late Friday nights talking until 3 a.m. over pizza at the local hangout That post-finals rush of exhilaration Cooking, possibly for the first time, in your dorm room Movie nights in the local theater or dorm--you never knew anyone else liked BLADE RUNNERGetting a phone call from home when you need it Showing your little sis or brother around the college and buying them a college cap or T-shirt That freshman romance Sunbathing (if you live in that climate) on the campus lawn with your shirt off Going to formal dances and strutting your stuff Finding that great job just before graduation Celebrating getting the job at an expensive restaurant Graduation! You're getting the idea. College is supposed to be fun, too. So while you're sweating on the sports field and in the classroom, don't forget to relax and enjoy. College isn't your whole life, but it is the beginning.
