We started Juco.com as a labor of love when we realized there were few sites devoted to junior and community college sports, and to community college life in general. By making alliances with community college sports writers, Juco.com was able to deliver a daily dose of stats, scores and teams to millions of loyal Juco and NJCAA fans.
We realized that Juco.com could be a gold mine of information for current and potential community college students. We created a mission statement for the web site:
Juco.com is intended to promote junior and community college education and athletics. We believe that continuing education is a lifelong process and that junior and community colleges have much to offer, academically and socially. We want to help community college students and their parents, teachers,coaches, educators and administrators find the resources that will help them succeed. In addition, we want to showcase the vital role community colleges play in a modern education. We also wish to highlight junior and community college athletics. Redesigning the site is an ongoing task that in the long run will greatly benefit the Juco community. Juco.com welcomes the help and participation of schools, teams, students, parents and associations in making this site the only resource that the Juco community will need.
